Manchester city won the Carabao Cup following a victory over Arsenal at Wembley,which could have been Marc’s first trophy at Manchester City since he joined the Citizens in January 2026.
City ended Arsenal’s 14-game unbeaten run in all competitions,with a 60th and 64th minute goals from Nico O’Reilly to secure their first Carabao Cup win since 2021.
However, Marc Guehi was excluded from his teammates in lifting the trophy and also receiving medal.

Marc Guehi signed for Manchester City earlier this year after joining from Crystal Palace Which made him ineligible to play the final due to a new rule introduced this season which does not allows players to represent two different clubs in the same campaign if their transfer was completed after the first leg of the tournament,He could have featured in the first leg of the the next round if the competition had another round but unfortunately for him,there was not first leg and he didn’t qualify to play the final for missing the first leg of the semi-final.
Marc Joined City after their first leg semi-final against Newcastle in January,which made him ineligible to play in the final.
Despite not receiving a medal, He joined his teammates on the pitch to celebrate the win.

Antoine Semenyo also joined Manchester City earlier this year from Bournemouth on January 9,2026.
Even though Antoine didn’t play the first leg against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup,He’s deal was finalized before the first leg,which means he could have been selected by the coach.
The Ghanaian forward signed a five and a half year contract in a £65million deal.
